BJP’s “political opportunism of the worst kind” – is on full display one after another ! Each masterminded by an increasingly-restive central leadership be it :-

1. highlighting a “tainted” Pratibha Patil against a “squeeky clean” Shekhawat during the Presidential elections

2. “Save democracy” effort in Goa – by betting on mercurial characters like Atanasio Babush Monserrate and Churchill Alemao, but had egg on its face after it failed to dislodge the Digambar Kamat government

3. and now trying to jeopardise the landmark Indo-US Nuclear Deal.

BJP can go down to any level to match its morale which has reached its nadir…. No doubt its supporters have to defend it. OR better, attack the Oppossition Congress and its leaders !!

Balaji you also sound like one of the BJP MP who when walking out of the parliament, beaming on his efforts in stalling the proceedings of lok sabha, was caught off guard when asked by journalists that what he knew about nuclear reactors, or about the deal… and he had to sheepishly answer that, â€œhe donâ€™t know anything, but he was only protesting as his party was”.
And this was repeated by almost all the ensuing MPs. But once in a while a MP did butt in to add that this deal is against national security, and it will make us slaves of the Americans. Bollocks! Can it get any inane and embarrassing than this?!?
The point is why the BJP doesnâ€™t actually get into a debate with the government, which they are willing to have instead of stalling the lok sabha. Not once BJP has had a press conference where they have stated the defects in the deal or the hidden facts regarding it. All they come up with, is stupid statements and nonsensical rhetoric.
