A photograph of India’s normally somber representatives laughing uproariously while discussing the Hyderabad blasts has been doing the rounds.
And if you have been wondering what exactly was the joke, here is the answer. India’s honorable minister of state for Home Affairs explains the cause behind Hyderabad blasts,
“Some of our neighbours are jealous of India’s progress and they keep hatching conspiracies to disrupt harmony in the country,” [link]
While Indians are frequently exasperated by the coverage in the Western media, what does one do when people responsible for India’s security come up with such ludicrous statement? One can almost imagine Somini Sengupta salivaing. But then who can blame her?
