The two terrorists Kasab and Ismail Khan killed 55 people at the CST station virtually gunning down everyone in their sight. And then they walked out of the station calmly and without a scratch on their bodies. In any other country, the entire railway police unit starting right from the top brass would have been fired. And yet, in the republic of India, huge cash awards were given to cops who merely fired in the general direction of terrorists or did not abandon their posts–as many of their colleagues did. Should we demean the concept of ”duty” so much that merely doing the minimum necessary and expected becomes bravery?
