people have forgotten the sacrifice of Gurjars and just trying to divert the matter by crating the fear of caste war who is afraid of it we gurjars have made every possible peaceful complaints against the injustice but no body care now when the anger of gurjars came in the face of violence everybody is crying why? are we not human being or we just IInd grade citizen please answer it .

What’s this? Where is the National Interest? Who will bear the cost of losses done by the agitatators? Where is law?

The representatives, instead of helping in peace processes are involved in provoking the communities. The act of one caste is encouraging other castes to take similar route to make their community reservation.

It is must too stop this violence through strict action. The politicians should now think for the sake of wider interest, i.e., about State & Nation, the shoot at sight order is the need of the present situation and should be impleted.

Shadows,
they are not clamoring to be called lower castes per se. They are clamoring for the freebies that come with being called a lower caste. This, of course, is the inevitable result of a quota system- war between groups, envy, hatred and social dis-cohesion are inescapable where some are declared privileged at the cost of the others.

I started to write thusly 6-8 months back when extreme exasperation and ennui prevented me from blogging further. Here it goes

It is disturbing to know that job reservations in private sectors are impending as this would be an irreversible step towards further dismemberment of the country. Politics in India is fashioned around group identities

Thats what reservations are – irreversible step towards further dismemberment of the nation. There is no way out, you grant Gujjars ST status, 10 other communities in 10 other states will demand ST status, 100 others will demand OBC status till we have only the “proverbial Brahmins” in the unreserved category. Karunanidhi is now promising quotas for muslims. As far BJP supporting quotas and fracturing the Hindu society further, I am not surprised at all. As long as we organise ourselves on caste identities, or atleast as long as we are perceived to rally behind caste and as long as anti-reservationists dont form a monolithic group that votes en masse there is a high premium in opposing caste-reservation politics. BJP is practicing realpolitik. On the other hand as long as people can forge an identity and form a group and intimidate the state to submission they are going to do just that. Offstumped calls it ‘entitlement mentality’.
ST status or no ST status to Gujjars, there are some sinister morons who point to the fact that all those killed in police shootings are dalits and not one upper-caste person injured. Give me a break. Sounds like one of those sardar jokes where the chief guest at national games prides on the fact that all the winners are Indians!
The easier solution would be to buy one of these and settle down.
